DISCIPLINARY TRAINING COURSES

Discipline Procedure Training courses take place each month at Midlands Training Ltd as well as Tuesdays each week!!

This one-day course is designed to provide individuals with the skills to be able to deal with and conduct basic disciplinary interviews and procedures.  New Courses start each week at Midlands Training Ltd.

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES

„« Examining and understanding the disciplinary process and procedures

„« The legal framework – The Employment Act 2008

 „« The disciplinary process – letter, meeting, appeal

„« Effective warning letters

 „« Conducting the investigation

„« Gathering information

„« Effective questioning skills – asking the right questions

„« Dealing with witnesses and those making allegations

„« Recording information – ensuring that the paper trail is in place

„« Checking the credibility of statements

„« Thorough preparation for grievance/disciplinary interviews

 „« Planning the interview to ensure all the important questions are included

„« Conducting the interview

„« Dealing with staff/union representatives/friends of the employee

„« Outcome – no action; warning; dismissal

„« Personal action plan

The course will contain a mix of practical and theoretical exercises, including group discussion and role play.
